Frequently asked questions.
Are the reports legal, tax, or financial advice?
No. Our reports are research and reference materials, not professional advice. They summarise published sources, regulation, case law and market data - they do not tell you what to do in your specific situation. Before acting on anything, engage a qualified professional (lawyer, regulator-authorised adviser, tax adviser, medical professional, etc.). See the disclaimer for the full position.
What is The Risk Agent, exactly?
The Risk Agent is an independent risk-research publisher. We commission, draft, and review research reports across a daily-growing set of corporate and personal Risk Domains, and deliver them as referenced PDFs. We publish research; we do not provide advice.
Do I need to sign up to buy a report?
No. All pre-built and on-demand reports in the catalogue are purchasable as a one-off with nothing more than an email address. We'll add optional free accounts for the upcoming question-level research product, but the catalogue itself stays no-signup.
How fast is delivery?
Pre-built reports in the catalogue deliver instantly via email after payment. On-demand reports (country, industry, profession, relocation combinations we haven't yet published) are produced inside four hours.
What makes these reports different from a template?
Every report is built against a structured prompt taxonomy, drafted by AI, fact-checked against primary sources, and reviewed by a human before publication. Citations are numbered and dated. They are reference documents, not templates - and not advice. See the methodology page for the full workflow.
Can I see a sample report before I buy?
We're adding a sample-pages preview on each product page. Until then, the published page count and production date are shown on every report, and the Contact page can route you to our support desk for targeted questions about scope.
What's your refund policy?
Digital reports are refundable inside 24 hours of purchase if the report materially misrepresents its advertised scope. Full terms on the refund policy page.
How current is the research?
Each report carries a production date on the cover. Fast-moving Domains (sanctions, tech, crypto, political) are refreshed on a shorter cycle. If a report in the catalogue is stale, it's pulled and re-produced before resale.
How do experts appear on TheRiskAgent?
Senior advisors and law firms can publish a Brochure that matches the precise (question, country) you are researching. So when you read a Briefing on (for example) Mis-hiring risk in Singapore, the Brochures you see at the bottom of the page belong to senior advisors who specialise in that exact risk in that jurisdiction. We are not a directory. Up to five firms can publish on each (question, country) page (up to three when a featured Pro Seat is present). Downloading a Brochure is free; contact details live inside.
Do you name specific firms inside the reports themselves?
Almost never. The editorial body of every report is firewalled from any firm relationship, paid or otherwise. Where firms do appear on TheRiskAgent, they appear as clearly-labelled Brochures alongside the Briefing on its public page, never inside the analysis. Buyers pay for analysis; senior advisors pay to publish a Brochure on the exact research that brings buyers to their topic. The two are kept distinct.
Who's behind The Risk Agent?
The Risk Agent is published by Feltan Associates Pte Ltd, a private research and publishing company based in Singapore. Sister platform to AxeRocket, the career-research site. See the about page for more.
Do you use AI to write reports?
Yes, transparently. AI (Claude by Anthropic) drafts the structured content against a controlled prompt taxonomy. Every section is reviewed and signed off by a human before publication. No report is ever auto-published. AI is a tool in the research pipeline, not the author of record - and the output is still research, not advice.
Can I commission a bespoke investigation?
Not through the catalogue. For complex situations - contested investigations, multi-jurisdiction matters, sensitive commercial intelligence - write to chris@feltan.com.sg and we'll respond directly.
