Refund Policy

Two products, two regimes

Reports are one-time digital purchases; Expert-Partner Brochures are recurring annual subscriptions tied to seats. The refund regime differs and the rest of this policy is split accordingly.

Reports: digital goods - consumer rights

Under Singapore consumer-protection law and most overseas equivalents, digital content you've already downloaded is usually non-refundable. We treat the refund question on substance, not on technicality.

Reports: when we refund

  • Material mis-scoping. If the report you receive does not match the scope advertised on the product page - e.g. wrong jurisdiction, wrong industry, substantively different topic - we refund in full inside 24 hours of purchase.
  • Technical failure. If the PDF fails to generate, the download link never arrives, or the document is corrupt, we refund or replace at your choice.
  • Duplicate purchase. Accidental double purchases of the same report are refunded on request.

Reports: when we don't

  • You read the report and decided it wasn't for you.
  • You downloaded and redistributed it.
  • The claim is made more than 24 hours after purchase without a clear technical fault.

Expert-Partner Brochures: cancellation

Single, Pro, and Domain Bundle of Seats are recurring annual subscriptions. You can cancel any time from your Expert-Partner Zone or the Stripe customer portal. On cancellation, your Expert-Partner Brochure stays live until the end of the paid period and is then removed. We do not pro-rate or refund partial periods on cancellation - the paid period runs to its end. For Domain Bundles, cancellation expires all member rows together at the end of the period.

Expert-Partner Brochures: when we refund

  • Failed seat allocation. If a Single, Pro or Bundle seat cannot be allocated because every target page was full at the moment your payment cleared, we refund in full.
  • Take-down for cause. If we take down your Expert-Partner Brochure for a reason that is our fault (mis-categorisation, technical loss), we refund or pro-rate at your choice.
  • Take-down at our editorial discretion. If we take down your Expert-Partner Brochure under our Editorial Policy, refunds are at our discretion and are typically pro-rated for the unused portion of the period.

Expert-Partner Brochures: when we don't

  • Cancellation mid-period - your Expert-Partner Brochure runs to the end of the period; no pro-rated refund.
  • You changed your mind about the value of the page.
  • Brochure count on the page changed (e.g. another firm joined and your visibility now feels lower).

How to request

Email support@theriskagent.com with your order number (or Stripe subscription ID) and a short note on what's wrong. We respond inside 1 business day. Refunds land back on the original card inside 5 business days of approval.
